According to the Kabbalists, the month of Adar is infused
with joy. Rabbi Nachman of Breslov said, "sickness
comes from a lack of joy and healing comes from joy." There
is joy in all aspects of our life. Sometimes we have
to look harder in some areas more than others. This month
is like a huge flashlight for finding the joy in all areas
of our life. Rabbi Max Weiman says, "Kabbalists
connect the letter "kuf" to the month of Adar and
link it to the word "kadosh" which means holy. A
person who experiences true joy is lifted above the mundane,
and able to see the world in a more elevated way."
May
we find joy this Adar, not only within ourselves, but also
in the world around us.
