Yizkor literally means "to remember". The Yizkor connection is basically a memorial service that is done four times per year to remember those dear to us that have gone on before us. The four times per year are the 7th day of Pesach (Passover), Shavuot, Sh'mini Atzeret, and Yom Kippur.
