Yitro, 12 Shevat 5772
February 5, 2012

This week's Parasha is Yitro and is one of the most important sections of the Torah. Why? Because it deals with the giving of the Ten Utterances which is the revelation of immortality in our world. The Ten Utterances have also been called the Ten Commandments. According to the Zohar, these Ten Utterances are the Name of the Creator and it is revealed to us that the entire Torah is engraved in them, thus making the Torah One Name. Each of the Ten Utterances reveals one of the Ten S'firot. This week should be a time for us to connect to the energy of immortality and to do an intense study of the Ten Utterances so as to help us in our transformation.
