Is it our duty to protect the environment? It is according
to Kabbalah. We celebrated Tu B'Shevat this past week and enjoyed
a Kabbalistic seder. For this new year of the trees, the seder
was comprised of fruits from various trees. During this month
we are invited to meditate on the tree on how it equally receives
and shares. Our objective in our transformation is to receive
so that we in turn may share with others. Part of our sharing
is caring for the environment, using only what we need, recycling,
and doing our part to respect nature. During this week, I invite
you to think of ways to share and care for the environment. Repair
of the world must occur not only on the spiritual level, but also
on the physical.
