K4A News
Week of 07/29/07
14 Av 5767

Tu B'Av is considered a Kabbalistic version of Valentine's day with one exception.  We should extend our love to every person, not just those we are friends with or romantic with.  The first two weeks of Av have been a very negative time.  Now we come into the Light, beginning with the most positive day of the year.  The only difference between this day and Chanukah and Purim, is that we have to do nothing to connect to the Light.  There is no need to light a menorah or hear the M'gilah.  All we need to do is just be.  Tu B'Av is the day in which the Light and all of creation are in perfect harmony with one another.  May we be blessed to love and share with every person.

No Study Sessions This Week
For the first part of the month of Av, we are taking a break from study.  The first two weeks of Av was a good opportunity for introspection and to not start anything new.  This week begins the positive half of the month.  It is a good time for a break as we enter the last month of summer.  We will resume conference calls next week with our normal schedule.  Our Kabbalat Shabbat connection will take place this Friday, August 3rd.  Click Here to RSVP.
