Shevat is here, a month dedicated to inner renewal. Kabbalah
asks us to focus on this during this month of Aquarius. Aquarius
is an air sign and is symbolized by the water carrier. The
water pitcher's purpose is likened to our own. Water is placed
in the pitcher in order that it can be carried and then shared with
others. We too should be willing to be filled up with blessings
so that we may share them with others. Since this month is
dedicated to inner renewal, we are invited to look at the things
in our life that are not nourishing us. This is not limited
to food, but also includes relationships and daily activities. Are
we here to just work, go to school, work some more and kill ourselves
in the process? Or are we here to do something
important, to be a blessing to others, to help repair the world? Only
when we look within will we find the answer and be reminded of our
true
tasks.
