Beha-alotcha, 13 Sivan 5779
June 16, 2019

One of our objectives this month is to be creative. How often do we put off being creative, saying "oh I will get creative another day, for now I need to just finish this project because I don't have time to be creative right now." This reminds me of a story of a man who had bought a lovely dress for his wife. She never wore it because every time she saw it she would say, "oh this is just too nice to wear this time, I will save it for a really special occassion." A year or so after he bought the dress, his wife died. After the funeral, he held it in his hands and remembered what she had always said about saving it for a special occassion. He cried as he realized that the special occassion would now never come. Why must we save our best for something special? Why can we not be creative now and in every moment? The energy of this month teaches us we can, and urges us that we should be creative and give our best in everything we do. This week try to recognize that life is special in each moment. Try to find ways to be creative, even in the most mundane practices. May the Light of the Creator inspire us to be creative and to live life fully.

Shavua tov,

Thank You In Advance For Your Support
The word "tzedakah" in Hebrew means charity, but actually the word is derived from the root word which means righteousness, justice or fairness. Giving is not viewed as a generous act, it is simply an act of righteousness and justice. Tzedakah is in many ways an exchange of energy and is a visible expression of gratitude in this world for that which we have received. We rely on the generosity of others so that we may make our siddurim (prayer books) and other resources available for all, as well as continue to offer meaningful studies and inspiring services. Please help support our community by making a DONATION. We thank you in advance for your generosity.
Perek Shirah Page
Perek Shirah is an ancient text of unknown authorship, although many commentaries attribute it to King David. It takes the form of a list of eighty-four elements of the natural world. Everything in creation praises its Creator. The lessons can assist us on our journey. Rabbi Eliezer said, Anyone who involves themselves with Perek Shirah in this world, merits saying it in the next world. Kabbalah4All will be working on a new photo each week with a verse until we complete all 84. Click Here to go to our new Perek Shirah page.
